| Based on our observation to US dollar index and the London metal exchange (LME) copper charts, a correlation analysis is made to the world metallic copper price against the dollar index. Due to that US dollar is taken as international trade settlement currency, and it is still in the leading position in the world's financial market, the change of copper price is much influenced by the dollar index volatility, and dominated by negative correlation. |
